I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Sídney) in Mar 2022
Interview
Standard Amazon interview process - 2 screening interviews (one general, another a bit more technical/whiteboarding). Then a loop of 5 interviews in 2 days. The interviewers were very friendly and explained the process and asked mostly expected questions.

Question 1
Amazon leadership principles related questions - examples of customer obsession and going extra mile for a customer; examples of independent and strategic thinking and proactive actions; dealing with failures and learning etc.
It followed the typical process: written assessment + phone screen + loop.
The phone screen covered the technical part while the loop focus were the LPs. Best looper was the bar raiser - he raised your way of answering because of the way he conducts himself, worst was the HM, almost typing out everything i said and asking me to wait so he can capture all in his notes. Kind of made me lose momentum.

Interview
Three major phases. 1st phase, technical validation, which is an online test to validate the technical knowledge. 2nd phase, technical interview, online/p2p interview to validate the technical experience regarding the applying role. 3rd phase, the most famous and sock one, loop interview, which contains 5 rounds of interviews on your career path and experience. 3rd phase is more focus on the culture and personality instead of technical capabilities. The process and questions in 3rd phase are predominantly decided by the interviewer and hiring manager.
