I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Tokio) in Jun 2021
Interview
I applied directly and the recruiter contacted me to arrange for an interview with the hiring manager. Interview with hiring manager was centered around Leadership Principles, but not so much on my actual work experience and what I did in previous roles.
I was invited for a loop interview next (5 interviews, 6 interviewers in total). In between I also had to do a writing exercise. One of the interviewers had read the exercise before the interview, and asked some follow-up questions about it too. Everything was focused on Leadership Principles. It felt quite rigid, and I didn't have a chance to get to know my interviewers (who are potentially people I'd be working with) or what the role and team is about.

Question 1
Every questions were "tell me about a time when you...". Nothing surprising, most questions are available online.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2021
Interview
I applied online and was later contacted by a recruiter. I had an initial phone screen with the hiring manager who put me forward to have an additional phone screen with a team member. Following the two screens I went through the "loop" which consisted of 6 (45min) back to back interviews. Interviewers were all nice though the recruiter did a poor job with communication (would take several days to respond to emails) which dragged the process on, and misled me as to the nature of the loop (said there would be no technical questions and one interview was purely technical).
