Interview
The Amazon interview process is grueling. There are 4 rounds of interviews: Recruiter screening, Hiring Manager, the gaunlet (5 1 hour interviews that includes a bar raiser)
As a "seasoned" worker, it was clear I had no shot based upon the interviewees background.

Question 1
Have you ever worked on something really hard and then failed?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Mar 2022
Interview
Good but challenging process. Study the leadership principals. All behavioral based questions on the principals. Very responsive and stick to their time lines. Don’t always care about experience in related field.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Jan 2022
Interview
Several interview rounds; recruiter reached out to me and set up a phone call followed by a zoom conversation and hiring manager interview prep session. Hiring manager interview focused on STAR format Q&A focused on Amazon’s principles; follow up was 2-3 weeks later to inform me timing was poor and the position had been taken, but that I should try for other divisions and would only have to do the long interview of several people over 2-4 hours instead of repeating a hiring manager interview/screening. Never heard back after (even with me following up).
