I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Verona) in Mar 2023
Interview
I will write my experience in English, so to reach a wider audience. I saw an advert, placed by a recruitment agency, for the job of "Magazziniere" at Verona. I started my application by completing an online questionnaire, very straight forward and required only basic information. The next day, I received an email with a detailed questionnaire, asking me about the recruitment process and my view regarding shifts. The following day I was sent another email to join a Microsoft Team presentation, outlining what the job entailed. I was given an option of choosing 1 of 3 presentations. The presentation (presented to a group of people, in Italian) was very professional and lasted around 30 minutes. It did however, highlight a few inconsistencies regarding the information provided on the presentation and the information provided in the job advert. Here are two of the most important inconsistencies for me: Firstly, the job advert clearly stated that the job involved shift work (implying we would work a variety of shifts during our contract) - During the presentation, we were told we could state our preference (but we may not get our preference-more on this later) for either days or nights and then we would have to work that shift for the whole term of the contract....3 months of days or 3 months of nights...not a mixture. Secondly, the job advert clearly stated that both full time and part time hours were available. During the presentation, we where told that we could either be working a 4,6 or 8 hour shift, depending on Amazon's needs (they had to give us a minimum of 16 hours a week). So, for example, one day we could be working 4 hours, the next 8, the next 4 and the next 6. Clearly, no set full time or part time hours....making it impossible for people to plan their lives etc. At the end of the presentation, we were sent a link to click on if we wanted to progress further with the recruitment. Later that day, I received a phone call from the agency (as I didn't click on the link earlier). The member of staff was very polite and asked if I had any questions regarding the presentation. I sought clarification on whether I would be working a mixture of shifts (day and nights etc). I was told that Amazon Verona were only looking for night shift staff...a complete contradiction to what I had been told on the presentation and what their advert stated. I declined the offer

Interview
