I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Apr 2020
Interview
Various stages. Most of the early ones were through virtual interviews without an actual interviewer. You would get prompted behavioral questions, get about 2 minutes to prepare and then another 3 to answer. Maybe 1-2 tries at best. Then once you passed those you got an interview with two managers in different fields for one hour each. Again, behavioral questions all around the Amazon fundamentals. Creating STAR situations.

Question 1
What is your greatest achievement?
Give an example of a failure you had and how you coped with it.
Lots of preparation needed but good for self reflection. Required to take a test and have multiple screenings before loop interview. STAR method advised when answering questions and lots of preparation tools given ahead of loop.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2025
Interview
Four one hour interviews back to back. Questions about their leadership principles in each one. Quite disorganized, as the interviewers didn’t know what role I was interviewing for. Some awkward interviewers but the second half of them were much better. One interview with two people, one of them qualifying to become an interviewer.
Phone interview with 2 members of the team hiring for the role. First 10 minutes of the call they were describing the role and it was significantly different than how it was defined in the job description.
