I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2020
Interview
I interviewed with Amazon in March 2020. There is about 6 interviews in total, not including the intial recruitment. A 1hr technical phone screen and then one day of 4-5 45 min panel video interviews.
Not very difficult technically, but they are looking for a level of experience that I didn't seem to have at the moment. There is more of a sales like vibe to this role. Alot of the questions were like, have you ever been in the room with <insert mad corporate bigshot> and how did you handle it. Which I lacked working in the type of teams that I have.
Be ready to explain computer science and networking fundamentals. If you've taken any Amazon exams then you can expect some of those same design scenario questions. That might be something good to pursue prior to trying the interview process.

You do 4 back to back interview in 1 day. It was exhausting. Besides that really appreciated the recruiter giving out interview prep before it takes place. The good thing is there is no coding round.
