I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2012
Interview
I found the interview process overall positive. I felt the Amazon folks knew me, and I knew them at the end of the process. I had two phone screens, wrote a document to demonstrate writing skills, and met with six people onsite. I had been coached to internalize the Amazon leadership values and so I was prepared to integrate them into my replies.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublín, Dublín) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very positive experience. The down side was there were 6 rounds of interviews in total but they were scheduled close together. Communication was excellent and a huge amount of helpful resources provided to you to help you prepare.
Phone interview. Asked 4 typical question. The Amazon phone interview was structured and focused on behavioral questions using the STAR method. The interviewer was professional, asking about leadership principles, past challenges, and decision-making. It felt fast-paced yet conversational. I shared clear examples from my experience, highlighted results, and ended confident I demonstrated impact and fit.
