Question 1
What the specific problems you meet on this project?
The asked me for 4 hours questions related the amazon leadership principles. I spoke with five people and they more less asked me the same question. I was really frustrating
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Jul 2020
Interview
Applied from Amazon Jobs page by myself, got a mail in two days to schedule phone interview which was for Data Scientist position but not the same one I originally applied.
I had one a week later. The questions are one experience interview plus many easy~mid-difficulty technical questions. I heard I got a positive review, and was told to receive another mail to schedule the 'onsite' sessions (to be done on line because of COVID19 issue.)
Until here, everything was normal, but the mail to schedule session was never delivered. I reminded the recruiter a couple of times, and they told me that the original position was no longer available and they were thriving to find another for me. I felt it was another way to tell that you were declined for those whom they once moved ahead. Actually I never got a mail.
I did not confirmed with them directly (and do not expect them to tell the truth), but I imagine that they had a lot more candidates with higher competence and/or better match to the position after me, more than they expected earlier, and wanted to stop my process because it no longer made sense.
