9 hours of interviews was just way too much for me. It felt like a bad fit in the end and obviously they agreed. I found the interviews repetitive and stressful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you made a decision with no data.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (El Segundo, CA) in Oct 2025
Interview
It was the first technical screening round. The interviewer asked me to share the most interesting project I worked on. He asked high-level follow-up questions (did not go into technical details). Then, moved to the coding part. It was a super-easy string-matching question. I expected some more difficult LC questions, so I was confused a little at the beginning. I solved it but it took much more time than needed. They did not proceed with me.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Madrid) in Jan 2025
Interview
Normal process. But strange thing that during system design they asked tough theoretical question, but during next interview about ml they asked about difference between classification and regression. And I didn't find that interviewer (during classic ml interview) was interested in that process. Don't like it.
