I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Worcester, MA) in Apr 2021
Interview
The interviewer does not have the intention to interact; it seems that the interviewer does not care; the interview only lasts 20 minutes for 60 minutes coding interview. The worst interview ever.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Valid Anagram: Given two strings s and t, return true if t is an anagram of s, and false otherwise.
2 rounds of interviews in 2 days.
1 simple coding questions, 3 medium questions, several ml basics, and some bq questions.
Talk a lot about research and published work you wrote in your resume.
The initial phone screen was relatively smooth - questions ranged from computer vision, basics of machine learning and deep learning, as well as some probing about autoencoders and GANs. The interviewer was nice enough to explain that this was their way of working out my strengths and what kind of problems I was more likely to be able to solve.
