Everyone below has pretty accurately described the process. Definitely was not a difficult interview but was not impressed with how the interview was conducted. It was very rushed and the interviewer did not direct questions that were pertinent to my work experience/resume. I thought the video stage was a great tactic in efficiency but the phone interview just seemed to be a waste of everyone's time.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at AlphaSights in Oct 2014
Interview
The interview was just me recording answers over the computer to a few behavioral questions. The process went by pretty quickly because you only have 30 seconds between questions and can't rerecord any of your answers. About a week later, I got an email telling me that I was no longer being considered for the position. Overall, it was a pretty easy interview, but I wasn't used to having a one-way interview like that and it felt awkward.
I applied online and was asked to describe myself in 200 words. I received an email telling me that I may or may not hear back from them. I was then invited to do a video recording interview and I am still in this process.
