I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights (Hong Kong) in Apr 2023
Interview
10-minute phone interview and then 30-minute video interview. The phone interview quickly went over the work of the role and some background questions. video interview covered behavioral questions and expected candidates to know the company and position well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why this role? What other (kinds) of jobs are you applying to? How are they related to this role?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (Dubai) in Jan 2023
Interview
i had to go through 3 rounds, was told there was 4 total. first round was basic chat with another associate, just very friendly and personality based- the usual options. the second round was a technical based interview that lasted just over an hour, where i had to talk about the technology they used, and risks to the business and stuff. third round was a chat with the VP of client protection, and this was about my career aspirations mostly, and getting to know me as a person. i also was told a 4th interview would be with someone in an office, but if you had got to this stage that means you've essentially got the role. overall, it wasn't too difficult, but it was a very drawn out process, and i can see that they have posted the same role twice since i was rejected. seems a bit unnecessary tbh.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- 2nd interview: questions about material non-public information - they really drilled into your career aspirations and you must be very well prepared about what they do, the risks they face, and why you want to work there.
Interview process was very well organised and allowed candidates to showcase their strengths as well as testing their suitability for the role. Interviews were very conversational, friendly and allowed plenty of opportunities to let candidates to ask questions to understand more about the role.
