I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights (Shanghái, Shanghai) in Aug 2017
Interview
The Video Assessment was not difficult, but not easy either. You need to practice and respond quickly to the pop-up questions on screen. You will only have 30 seconds to prepare and 60 seconds to answer. Good luck!

Interview
I applied through online, and the response was very fast. I was asked to do AlphaSights Video Assessment (AVA) three days after I submitted CV. They only gave 72 hours to finish AVA. After AVA, video interview was scheduled. I also get notified about the interview few days after the AVA submission. I'm waiting for Video Interview now.

Interview
Standard things written here is all right. Online Video into first round of interview on your resume, then case study and second behavioral, then with the MD on your resume and motivation. Honestly, all the interviews were great and everyone involved was very supportive and were friendly. Everything was fairly simple and straightforward. My biggest, and only gripe, which still makes me have a very negative feeling over the whole process, is that HR never replied to my emails. If you're going to put something along the lines of "Contact me if you have any questions" on your email, then you should damn well reply to your emails. This wasn't an issue until I didn't hear back from them due to a presumably failed application at the end, but it is really unsatisfying to be rejected and not given any notice. Considering how many times you have to go into the office to go for an interview the least you could do is reply emails and let applicants know if they didn't get in. I emailed HR a week or so after my interview to ask if I could check on my status and I haven't gotten a reply. It is now 2-3 weeks past my interview and I assume I didn't get in, but I don't think I'll ever definitively know.
TL;DR, Great people, easy interviews, Glassdoor will prepare you for the interview, but nothing can prepare you for the void of unreplied emails.
