Interview
Applied to the job using my college career services. Within 3 days, was asked to do an automated system interview consisting of basic questions about how well I knew the company, why I would be a good fit, etc. Was asked to do a 30-45 min skype interview within the days after.

Interview
Applied online through the AlphaSights website. Heard back about a week later to conduct an automated online video interview within 48 hours. The automated interview involved straightforward questions where you get around thirty seconds to prepare and thirty to 120 seconds to speak. Two days later I was invited to a skype interview which turned out to be entirely behavioral; my interviewer appeared to just want to get to know me and my interests and why I was applying to AlphaSights. I was immediately asked to do a second skype interview, also with a lead analyst and also mostly behavioral, but this time it also included a mini case problem. The following day I was invited to the New York office for a final round interview.
I had to prepare answers to a couple short-response questions (tell us about what you do for fun outside of school/work, for example) and prepare a mini-case study in advance of the interview. At the interview I presented my case study to my first two interviewers, answered a couple questions about the case, and then was asked to do a second case where they gave me a laptop and I did some quick research to identify experts in different industries before they returned to the room. We then talked about my background and interests and how my goals aligned with joining AlphaSights. The second half of the final round was an interview with the managing director of the NY office. Again, the discussion was mostly about my goals and how they lined up with the role. The MD finished the interview by introducing me to a couple analysts who could answer any additional questions I had. I got the call for the offer the next day.
The overall experience was very pleasant and I was really impressed with the fast turnaround on everything. I really appreciated that everyone I talked to was really interested in not just my accomplishments but the underlying motivation behind previous decisions (where I went to school, how I chose my major, why I chose my particular summer job). Another big focus of the interviews was making sure I knew exactly what AlphaSights does and determining if my career goals line up with that. My biggest piece of advice is prepare to confidently and clearly articulate AlphaSights' business model and your motivation for applying for the role.
