I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AT&T (Las Vegas, NV) in Feb 2013
Interview
I applied for months ago online and forgot about it. Then they called for an interview.
I was interviewed twice both by managers of two different stores. On the first store, he asked me about my goals and my sales experience. He said that they're hiring massively and he recommended me to this second store. The second manager was nice and we had a good laugh on the interview and said I was charming. I knew she liked me. I proved to her that I'm up-to-date with technology and I can do the job very well.
I'm sure that it's a hire. She told me to wait for an email that will be the last stage of the hiring process. I never get the email. I called HR about it, and was asked to wait for 24 hours. I didn't get it either. Maybe it's a system glitch, or maybe they skipped me. But I never heard from them again.
I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Harrisburg, PA) in Aug 2010
Interview
3-4 interviews with HR, business manager, and business director. Intense interview process with lifestyle, work ethic, and situational questions. Background check for criminal and driver history. You must first pass their online interview in order to talk to HR. Once you pass the HR screening you talk to the hiring manager and then the director of sales.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most interviews consisted of the question, "what can you do to improve your daily routine?" If you are in outside sales, the questions are pretty standard. If you're coming from a retail environment the questions will be foreign. I suggest doing mock interviews online. There are sites out there that will help or reach out to employees you are familiar with in the role you are looking at.
