It consisted of a phone interview, interview with the Regional Vice President, interview/role play with a few of the managers and a ride along with a seasoned outside sales rep.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you handle rejection?
What past experiences do you have that make you well suited for sales?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Charlotte, NC) in Sep 2015
Interview
Phone Interview, In Person with Sales Executive (your boss), in person with VP (their boss), field ride (if you get there its your job to lose.. They basically want to make sure you can walk into a business and ask the questions you need to ask and don't mess up too bad.. but primarily make sure you are an outgoing person and a good fit for the team). They may still do a sales presentation. For this you sell a random item; find a need and hammer it in, then assume sale.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Amherst, MA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Was contacted by HR and set up initial phone interview. Very easy and they just want to see if you are a good fit for the role.
Was asked to do an in person interview with the VP. I met with the VP and went very well. After our meeting he asked me to meet with two of the other team members.
I then met with two managers who were also very nice and asked a lot of questions just to see if I was a good fit.
I was contacted the next day to come back for a final round interview which is a ride along. However, I already accepted an offer from another company.
