I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Houston, TX) in Jul 2018
Interview
About two weeks after applying to the position I received an email to schedule a phone interview. During phone interview, the interviewer scheduled a second interview (in person) that took place less than a week later. Second interview was with the VP of Sales.

Question 1
Describe a time you were successful in a competition/sales and how you completed it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Brooklyn, NY) in Jul 2018
Interview
First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter. It went well and they scheduled me for an in-person interview in Brooklyn. The recruiter said they had a parking garage below their office. When I got there, it was a parking garage that charges $18 an hour. I was unaware, but I had no choice to pay. When I got to the office, I realized how small it is and how unexciting it looked. Very poor compared to other companies and their offices. While I was waiting for the VP of sales, I spoke with one of the sales rep about working at ADP. I did not get an exciting response. That was my first red flag. When I went into the VP's office, I realized how small his office is. A small NYC shoebox apartment was bigger than his office. Maybe he didn't need a big office or whatever the case is. Still, it shows a lot about how ADP treats their employees. The interview was the typical interview. I was very nervous and I felt a disconnect with the VP. I could have done better. At the end of the interview, the VP said he was gonna push to the next round and meet three managers. I was surprised and happy to hear it. A couple of days later, the recruiter reached out to me saying I was not selected to move onto the next round. I was confused so I reach out to both the VP and recruiter, but had no response. I would've appreicated at least a response, instead of being ghosted. I didn't even get a response about a reimbursment for parking. Looking back, I am happy I did get rejected. I would've hated going to work in that office.
This interview process was very tacky in my opinion. Initially applied via LinkedIn and reached out to a recruiter. The recruiter scheduled a brief phone screening with me that went very well. I moved on to the next level which was a facetime interview with the VP. (It was on Facetime because the position I was applying for was in Houston and I'm currently in DC). That interview also went extremely well. The VP told me she absolutely loved me and wanted me to come down to Houston for the 3rd round which would be a full day of interviewing. ADP doesn't provide reimbursement for travel, so I paid for the flight a week in advance in addition to other expenses that come along with being out of town. There were 2 other interviewees other than myself. I chatted with them both before the interviews started and found out they both were fresh out of college, had never had a real job before. One of them even mentioned that this interview was their first interview EVER in life. After we all met with the managers, someone came out to the lobby and literally pointed to each one of us and said "You're moving forward, you're moving forward, then pointed to me and said "Sorry this is the end of the road for you."
Very rude way to go about a decision. It was obvious that they wanted to bring in entry level candidates that have never worked before and not seasoned-sales vets like myself. I just feel like they should have mentioned that so I didnt spend $600+ for a 10 minute interview.
Sorry to hear about this negative experience. We will look into the the issue and if you have any additonal insights please contact us at adp_talent_communtiy@adp.com - thank you.
