"A lot of vacation time. 18 days to start (144 hours), going up to 30 days (240 hours) at 15 years. I think 18 days to start is crazy. Who expects over 3 weeks off from their job in the first year? "

"No match at all, they automatically give you 3% of your pay though so if you put in 0%, you still get 3% from them. If you put in 3%, it comes out to be 3% of yours + 3% of theirs, etc."

Comprehensive coverage offered as a benefit which an employee could choose to match their current family needs.

This company said they would cover my spouse but then denied her coverage at the last minute, the medical insurance has a $1000 deductible, so basically it's worthless and your paying for nothing. just another profit center for them. with no real help to the employee

Benefits package is pretty good. Medical coverage is above average; however when I left my last employer and came to Covance, I ended up giving up a good amount of vacation time (Covance uses a PTO model) because I left a long-tenured position to go to a new company. However, working from home off-sets the vacation I lost.

Average healthcare package, vision and dental, but the ability to earn credits (myhealth account) to offset medical expenses. Decent vacation accrual program.
