About the Job
In your role in Application Support, you will ensure the seamless operation and management of applications within the managed portfolio. Your expertise will be crucial in performing regular updates and patches to maintain application security and compliance with licensing agreements.
Your role also involves monitoring application performance metrics, optimizing configurations, and conducting performance testing to enhance efficiency. Security measures are a priority, requiring regular audits and vulnerability assessments to protect applications and data.
Effective communication with customers, government authorities and suppliers is vital to ensure smooth information flow and service delivery.

What you do

• Install, configure and maintain applications in the managed portfolio. Monitor application performance and ensure high availability and reliability. Perform regular updates and patches to keep applications secure and up-to-date.
• Provide technical L2 support and troubleshooting assistance to application users. Respond to and resolve application-related issues/incidents in a timely manner. Document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate applications with other systems and platforms. Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between applications. Participate in the design and implementation of system integration projects. Management of certificates.
• Monitor application performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Optimize application configurations to enhance performance and efficiency. Conduct regular performance testing and tuning.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect applications and data. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Penetration test findings remediation.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to application administration. Propose and implement improvements to application management processes. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Effectively communicate with customers (primary focus), also with government authorities and suppliers to ensure smooth information flow.

What you bring

• 3–5 years of experience in application support (additional experience is a plus); relevant University degree is preferred.
• Essential: strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Very important: solid knowledge of Jboss.
• Important: good working knowledge of SQL and PowerShell.
• Good to have: experience with Sybase, DB viewer tools, and basic understanding of the architecture of the applications being supported.
• Czech/Slovakian native speaker, comfortable in an English-speaking environment.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
