Pros

It’s nice to be able to have a flexible schedule to be able to work on your own time.

Cons

I would say generally the rides do not pay very well from uber directly, but when and if customers tip it makes a huge difference.

Cons

Uber lies, cheats, and steals from riders and drivers. The pay is horrible, and they continue to make it worse. They do not care about drivers at all, because there is always some poor sap who thinks they can make a little extra money. I suppose if you only drive 100 miles a week which translates to maybe 90.00, then you still have to pay for the gas. It might be ok to make a few extra dollars, but that’s about it. Your car will be ruined if you drive regularly, and you won’t make enough to replace the car. Every year you drive you will have a tax loss, which can be beneficial. However, at the same time it shows how it is a losing proposition. It is unsustainable, unless you’re prepared to buy a new car every couple of years. I do know that in a few large cities there is more chance to make money. However, if you’re not making what you need, with an additional amount to save for a new car then you’re going backwards.
