      Free Gym Employee cafeteria Fishing on campus Some charity events

      Cons

      Not fair compensation Every year something is cheapened or taken from employee benefits The top 1% on the food chain gets massive bonuses while the rest of the employees get crumbs. People gate keep information in order to keep their jobs Will not fire bad managers due to family ties in the company

      Thank you for your feedback. We are very proud of our Northbrook site and glad you were able to enjoy the amenities there. We have recently restructured our benefits package to be more in line with market offerings and to standardize our offerings. We include every employee in the annual employee incentive bonus program and include all employees in the employee stock purchase program, with a global rollout in progress.       No major cons. Teams are pretty lean and it can be challenging sometimes.

      Bad Management, Micromanagers, and layoffs

      Pros

      The positive is working for a company with a long history and well know name in the testing industry. Most people are willing to speak to you because of their reputation.

      Cons

      The management at UL is atrocious especially in S&A. Most of the top managers left UL and were replaced by folks who have no idea how to manage. Bullying was the norm and when this was reported to HR, their response was to find a new job. Most of their top PM's, engineers, and sales staff have left the company.
