Good vibes, organizational chaos

Pros

This company attracts amazing people (except for the leadership level)! Really good vibes, tons of creative, kind, interesting people. They were imitating the "fun, cool startup" strategy that's popular in the US when I worked there, which meant lots of events, swag, etc. Heard that has dropped off significantly since then, but at the time it kept things nice and engaging.

Cons

Super focused on profits without the internal structures/systems to support people before scaling. This is kind of the norm in the industry unfortunately so they're definitely not alone, but being Barcelona based the company started with a really nice culture. As they've grown though not enough thought/resources has been put into making sure they know how to scale without ruining the culture, mucking up an otherwise nice innovative environment and burning a lot of current or former employees. Main con is just poor leadership really and uneven support/perks/systems for non Barcelona based employees.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with our company. We appreciate your positive observations about the talented and engaging people within our organization. As with any company, our focus on profits is essential to our continued existence. However, we hear your concerns about the internal structures and systems not fully supporting our employees during the scaling process and rigorously prioritized this work in Q1. We agree that we must maintain what’s special about our unique culture; however, we are also committed to evolving in areas that will best equip us to scale and will cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Regarding our leadership, we are proud to have a dynamic and diverse leadership team with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Thank you for highlighting what makes our company unique, and we will strive to embrace our distinct strengths moving forward.
