Pros

At the beginning the Culture was great, we were all operating with them making it easier to integrate and be part of the change. Genuine and open organization until we started to see the problems coming with no reaction from the C-level Leadership that preferred to keep focusing on their agendas.

Cons

The lack of trust in the leadership directly impacted the Culture and people started to be more close We could see some leaders were just protecting themselves and used some of their teams to their benefit, The lack of transparency and actions resulted in a wave of layoffs we do not even know how it was decided. A message, a meeting, an invite, thank you, goodbye.... This could have been different if the leadership informed us of what was happening, the risks, and potential actions to come. A final point is the volume of personal agendas and politics, For example, Marketing and the People teams were full of it which was unhealthy since you did not know if some leaders could be trusted or not.

Thank you for your feedback regarding our company culture and leadership. We want to take this opportunity to double down on the importance and impact leadership has on overall culture and employee trust. That is why we invested a great deal of time in building a best-in-class leadership team Equally important to our culture is the input and contributions of our employees. We believe that employees play a key role in driving positive change within the organization and we are glad to hear you agree that our people are truly what makes Typeform great. Finally, regarding the layoff information mentioned, we want to clarify that the statement is inaccurate. Last winter we regularly updated employees throughout the duration of the ERE and provided in-depth business rationale during all-company and individual team meetings. Furthermore, we prioritized the well being of our impacted employees by ensuring they were both well compensated and set up for future success with career support. We take this very seriously and welcome further discussion to help clarify any concerns or misunderstandings. Please feel free to email people@typeform.com so we may connect.
