      Poor middle management - marketing org is a disaster

      Pros

      Flexible schedules + great product. The product selling itself will only get the company so far....pretty much good for a resume boost and that's it.

      Cons

      Weird culture. Middle management is an absolute joke. The business model of promoting people to being people managers when they have zero ability or proven record of being successful is awful. Upper management for some areas is clueless. There is rapid turnover rate. Working there was a real disappointment from initial impressions.

      Pros

      Excellent analytics platform that is a market leader and is passionately loved by its customers. Amazing culture in place of humble, smart people. Compelling growth in revenues, margins and employees year over year (YoY).

      Cons

      Seattle centric company that makes is difficult for remote employees to move up despite rockstar performance. Except for a token Asian EVP, no diversity in executive ranks in North-America which is a competitive dis-advantage. Top Talent of color find it extremely difficult to be considered for executive ranks or promotions. Promises re: upward mobility and resources made at hiring are not kept despite exceptional performance.

      Pros

      Free food, great location, beautiful office. Colleagues were helpful and nice, atmosphere was ok.

      Cons

      No flexibility on schedule for people who commute, immature managers lacking experience and people skills, micromanaging was the norm. HR should be more involved in people's problems and come up with viable solutions and make sure managers are equipped with proper tools to manage teams.
