Pros

you get all of the benefits weather you are working part of full time. You can use TSA as stepping stone for other federal agencies.

Cons

There is no such thing as personal growth or recognition for work excellence. If you are a person who love to work the same thing day to day. Then this is the job for you.

TSA Sucks

Pros

There are no pros to this job, except that it is a job, but look for another job, this company sucks, and working for the government sucks.

Cons

All they care about is their image, all else is doesn't matter. The way they operate is a joke. You have all the responsibilities of being a government official without all the benefits or pay.

Pros

Pays just enough to keep you there..?? Some of the people. Some. They hire / promote from within.

Cons

you will never get anywhere. Even if you do,, you wont get anywhere. You will find yourself stuck doing the same thing forever. The supervisors were worse than the public. They treat EVERYBODY like a pile of $#!t. They get treated by that from upper managment.. so they trickle it down the chain. Badly. You get lied to constantly, you have to pass 3 crazy tests every year. Failure of these tests mean you get fired. So you live in constant fear of losing your job. They like to remind you how "lucky you are to have this job". Promotes really insane people with anger issues. There is literally a manager with the nickname the lion king.. because he will lie to your face without blinking an eye. Your days off and schedule will change every year. So your personal life will do a 180 every year. Hard to plan anything. The time off and vacation bid is a nightmare. They screwed it up bad last year. Any Human Resource issues will require phone calls... 2 weeks... emails..nothing can be done locally.
