Pros

The pros were great, detailed, extensive training and mentor programs. The exit interview is also easy to schedule. The schedules are odd, but after the first 90 days you can swap days or have other employees work your day instead of using up your personal leave time. I can't think of any other pros.

Cons

For anyone with a spouse brace yourselves for the major friction that comes with the hours and days a beginner will have to work. You will either be waking up at 1:30 AM and clocking in at 3:30 AM or you will be working all evening. There are no normal shift hours, not even for upper level positions. Also note you will work weekend days and holidays for at least the first year if you stay part-time. If you go full-time you are looking at three years until you can get one weekend day off on your schedule. If you are married with children this isn't the job for you. If you are a single parent don't even think about this job. Also note since the employee parking lot is no where near the airport automatically add 30 minutes to what you think your commute will be. The parking lot takes time and you have to wait for a shuttle bus to get to the actual airport.

Pros

This job is by far the easiest job ever. I spent a majority of my time there reading books and watching movies which is what everyone does in check baggage. I took a lot of naps to. If you are lazy this is definitely the place for you.

Cons

The management, supervisors, coworkers, and basically anyone that has anything to do with TSA is a joke. This place is the most unorganized agency I have ever seen. They recently failed 95% of their test and I am personally not surprised. The people do not care about their job because they are living an easy life. I am a female and honestly in the past two years I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I have been absolutely miserable in this terrible place. These people are so bored they have nothing better to do than gossip and create malicious lies about you and everyone else that works there. I worked with pedophiles, prostitutes, and criminals in a government agency! This place isn't run well at all. They need to completely redo this place. They fire people for being late to work only one minute after clock in but keep pedophiles! This place is a joke.
