Disappointing

Pros

When started, it was already messy but still human an management was supportive and approachable. Now they have added some financial benefits but the environment in the office is heavy and unbearable.

Cons

Managers and line managers do not communicate changes appropriately and promptly, learning and development does not exist. Environment is quite heavy and workload is not the same for all departments and people. Internal promotions are quite questionable, the way some of them are carried out seems to reward those who are just positive in the office and smile rather than team members who challenge and try to improve procedures, which are just messy and ever-changing for a company of this size. They used to say "everyone count" as part of their motto. It seems this has just vanished behind numbers they are desperate to achieve with new customers instead of focusing on keeping the existing ones happy.

Started out seeming pretty promising however it quickly began to fade

Pros

Flexible hours in training. Employees are funny although all of them are disgruntled and broke due to lack of commissions. What you are told when you are hired is a complete fallacy.

Cons

Micromanaging like you wouldn't believe. Quotas double monthly when no one is hitting them unless they are fed inbound leads to the favorites. Company culture is supposedly fun, but they watch everything you do. Monitor and listen to your calls in their free time for "coaching" aka reprimanding. High daily call minutes requirement. You are selling to an industry that is not receptive. Even if you do get a sale the back end support is not interested in helping you keep it so you often lose your sales when they go to training. The product is over priced and you often lose sales to competitors charging a tenth of what we do. High stress, low reward. 5 months later and not a single commission check. I made a wrong career decision and I'm trying to prevent others from doing the same.

Pros

Really hard to find pros.. Company is willing to pay high salaries to attract good talent but not worth it

Cons

Family owned type of mentality, very few leaders are qualified or cover the role because of merits, strong political atmosphere lead by employees who have been there since the beginning. Extremely high turnover and lack of resources/knowledge. No investments into people development and too much pressure to achieve short term results. A SaaS company with only a couple of dozen engineers

Very sorry to hear of your experience with SiteMinder. This is certainly not the type of environment that we aim to provide so we do not take this lightly. We are going through huge changes as an organisation in relation to growth and sadly bumps in the road are all part of the journey but we do sincerely appreciate you taking the time to highlight some concerns of yours that will allow us to take a closer look at some key areas.
