Pros

Benefits are excellent. The company's mission is commendable. The company's stated values are as well. Hybrid and remote working are a nice perk offered by Sage. Sage has many lifelong employees within its divisions.

Cons

Internal politics, favoritism and cliques mar Sage's progress. Change occurs regularly at Sage. It is often experimental and poorly planned, causing stressful uncertainty for employees. Leaders are not held accountable for failures or strain on teams. Nor are they equipped with the tools/ practice to share meaningful, constructive feedback with employees. Feedback and training vary greatly person-to-person. Micromanagement and poor communication impedes success, the development of new ideas and the introduction of methodologies at Sage. Travel expectations and workload create burnout. DEI factors of individuals are weighed via an internal scorecard as a consideration for hiring/ promotions. This process lacks transparency to individuals, though reports are shared/ tracked as high-level metrics internally.

Strong Ethics, Solid Executives, Great Benefits

Pros

Company has strong values and actively works toward achieving them. Executive team is solid and cares about their employees and company as a whole. YMMV with individual managers. Some are better than others. Benefits package is hard to beat. Medical insurance is top-notch. Gym/fitness reimbursement. Some educational reimbursement. Most of the company is remote work now with monthly events in the main office. CEO is very approachable and a good leader.

Cons

Downside of remote work is that office culture is hard to maintain. Especially as some of the old guard who worked here for decades retire and the new execs switch up how the company operates.
