Pros

- Lots of freedom/autonomy (if you have a cool/impactful idea, it's genuinely encouraged that you go build it) - They trust you to get your stuff done, and don't mind when/how you do it (flexible working is genuinely encouraged) - I used to work from home all the time - I now go into the office most days because it's got a great atmosphere with interesting speakers/events, socials, free lunches etc. - The work is genuinely interesting and rewarding. Leadership teams make a big effort to share the impact of what we do with heartwarming stories from customers - which makes it all feel worth it - Everyone here is genuinely kind/friendly and really keen to see you succeed

Cons

- Sharing information between teams is hard (different countries face different sector challenges and are at different stages of growth - so we naturally default to working in silos) - Progression frameworks aren't super clear

Pros

You meet a lovely community, with caring managers; They care about mental health especially; The team members will try to bond despite having to man the lines at all times; Seasonal Events for team bonding + other initiatives to keep morale up; Free Food and coffee available in the kitchenettes (all brands purchased try to be ethical and eco-friendly); Brightly coloured offices; Flexible wfh schedule.

Cons

Repetitive Tasks Despite your training on only quotes and contract, you will sometimes have to deal with emergency calls that end up on the wrong line Overall a challenging role due to the energy sector being in a crisis and customers being nervous about their livelihood most of the time, this job is not for all tempers If you have a foreign accent, you will get mistaken for an outsourced call center, some clients will have prejudices and low expectations about you and treat you accordingly, unfortunately. This is something that is out of anyone's control, of course, but it might happen.
