Pros

Extremely smart co-workers, dedicated and on-point executive staff, huge market, good technology that keeps getting better. Impact is expected and ownership is encouraged, and the team is all pulling in one direction together. Management is very people oriented, and the company values its people highly. Great office, good perks, solid benefits.

Cons

High intensity/long hours; this is not a 40 hour a week kind of place. Workload isn't always well distributed, so some people end up pulling a lot more nights and weekends than the mean, and also become bottlenecks. Management should be better/faster about parting ways with low performers; when needed (rarely) we tend to manage people out instead of confronting the situation. Compensation is solid, but not as tied to performance and impact as it should be.

We were not a family

Pros

Old Mulesoft felt like home. Co-workers were special. They did the difference. Beautiful buildings.

Cons

No real compromise to include more women in IT or leadership roles. Just for the “picture” and investors. Ohana it’s just another methodology to make you believe you belong. If you are stress or with a personal issue there is no real interest to help you. People care doesn’t exist at all. And after almost 4 years I could say people is stressed out and CEO says that is how an IT company works. All old employees went to another companies for better salaries or challenges. Also they segregate people with stress issues. And they have to train managers to avoid harassment.

MuleSoft Response

Very glad to hear you were able to be a part of such a high caliber team, and I am sorry to hear about your experience. However, the great majority of our account executives continue to exceed their targets every year, and there remains plenty of opportunity out there. Even so, they should never feel like their territories are overcrowded, and it is incumbent upon us to setup all of our employees for success. We are growing very fast, and account executives are pivotal to our growth. We are continuing to take a deeper look into territory assignments to double ensure your experience is not widespread or repeated. I appreciate you sharing your feedback.
