Horrible Technology

Pros

There are no pros on the technology

Cons

20th Century Technology at best - too many different systems, too many departments not communicating with each other. The type of insurance product offering is archaic & very basic, while the platform within its distributed is amateurish and embarrassing. Employees are forced to constantly find "work arounds" . The insurance industry as a whole solved technology issues over 20 years yet Mapfre's platform is difficult to learn, impossible to teach to others, induces a negative work environment and burns out talented insurance professionals.

Pros

If you like being verbally abused, this is the place for you. If you like going without a bonus, come work at Mapfre where employee appreciation is non-existent.

Cons

Supervisors will verbally berate you, act snotty, give snotty remarks unless they need you for something. They also act discriminatory towards employees they do not like. Unless you're buddy, buddy with the boss, you won't be promoted and even then, it's not worth getting promoted because the salaries are bottom of the barrel.

A meeting with your manager and/or Human Resources to discuss your specific concerns is most likely a good idea at this point. From your comments, it sounds like you have career aspirations and might be frustrated. Please consider having that meeting and taking the opportunity to express your career goals. Collaborate with your manager to identify ways to grow in your current role or in another at MAPFRE Insurance. If you have other ideas about how team communication and culture can be improved, feedback is always appreciated.

Pros

None. You can get healthcare anywhere.

Cons

Just an awful place to work. Being a claims rep is a tough job no matter where you are, but this place is the absolute pits. The five star reviews here were obviously planted by management. I worked here for over 3 years and never met anyone who wasn't absolutely miserable. Ridiculous workloads and lazy, clueless and downright weird managers. HR is useless. Low pay and no raises,
