Mostly great co-workers. Sometimes you have to pick up the slack for other employees. Laid back work environment. Supervisors are for the most part human. 20 days PTO to start from day 1. Working from home 1 day a week.
Cons
When Mapfre bought Commerce the company was very profitable. Once corporate Mapfre in Spain we entered into states where we had little to no presence. Our Combined Ratio went through the roof. in many of those states. Liberty Mutual and Hanover pay 20k more for the same job. No annual bonus. Profit Sharing of 3% only if the company has a decent year. No Xmas or Quarterly Bonus. We get a 50 dollar gift card at Thanksgiving. With other competitors in the area offering greater compensation its tough not to want to move on. I would love to see cross department training(learning SAS, Power BI etc) Would love to see subject matter experts offering workshops and training. Out company us also unable to retain serious talent. Many of our incoming college grads stay for less than 2 years and move on as the compensation is low. Very little employee recognition.
