The team is easily the best part... everyone is approachable, highly intelligent, and genuinely friendly. Leadership are transparent, they are receptive to feedback and keep everyone in the loop. The work-life balance is also great... we have the autonomy to manage our time, and the flexibility is a huge bonus! Kraken is obsessed with improvement. There’s always a new tool, system, or training session being rolled out to help us work smarter and to grow personally. The team events are genuinely fun and help build a strong sense of community.

Fast-growing with lots of opportunities, caring/ capable colleagues and an empowered remote/ distributed work culture. A great chance to have fun working on a product that matters.

Cons

To succeed you need to be strongly self-directed and comfortable navigating what can feel at times like organised chaos. Salary is fair but deliberately not top-of-market - this is a mission driven firm.

- Superb mission - accelerate electrification and green energy transition - Welcoming, friendly, warm and fun atmosphere - Excellent colleagues - Freedom in how to solve problems - Remote work within your country

Cons

- Becoming much more corporate with obvious movement towards IPO - this will almost certainly have some potentially negative impact on the pros listed above. - Upper management seem to largely ignore some parts of the company to the detriment of the leadership and management of those parts. - Struggling to improve communication in teams which are globally distributed. - Pay does not match companies aspirations. - Pay scales are not transparent and there is still resistance to making things fully transparent.
