Pros

You will have a good salary and work with smart people if you work in the engineering team. Nice office.

Cons

Very closed culture in which not everyone can fit. The good salary comes in exchange of 24/7 availability. They hire smart people and tell them what to do instead of listening to them.

The company is run very badly. The best developers are being laid off. It's very bad for your mental health. The individuals are awesome, though.

Learn, learn and learn

Pros

Lots of learnings, no micromanagement at all, you have space to take your own desitions. Team managers in Engineering do their best to protect their team as much as possible from chaos and big changes without complaining at all. Mid-management is great and competent, they really care about their people and push for their personal and professional development, something that I have not seen in other companies. I feel supported and accompanied. The individual teams are pushing and supporting themselves a lot. Great culture within the team, which is something not very common in other companies. Real flexible working hours, you can adapt it to your personal needs, which is again something suoer valuable nowadays. Salary is aligned with the market. Fully remote with option to go to an office if desired. Creative and innovatinve team dynamics. Team managers listen to your opinions and try hard to apply them. Your feedback and improving ideas are always welcomed.

Cons

Teams are reducing their size and they are not being replaced. Key people in engineering has left and the new top engineering management culture differs a lot from how we were used to work and think. Key desitions are top-down with little space for negotiation from mid-managers. Priorities, objectives, KPIs etc are not clear or change too frequently from top down. Lack of clear career development plan across the department. Some work is lost due to change of direction very rapidly. A lot of stress in the Engineering department. Poor communication and coordination across teams, it's starting to feel like the environment is evolving to a more political approach. Poor budget for team buildings since beginning of 2023.
