Pros

The paycheck and Thrift Savings Plan is about the only thing that kept me coming back.

Cons

The government itself is a bureaucratic mess, but the TSA takes it to a whole new level. I worked a double split shift that made my workday last from 0430 to 2015. Management is two faced, and doesn't care about employee morale or their problems. Passengers are rude, and never listen. Procedures always change and confuse you and all the other officers, as well as passengers. There is little room for advancement, unless you're in the 'good ol boy' club with management. Your job is always on the line with ridiculous tests and evaluations. Lastly, it's really hard putting the uniform on everyday when you get zero respect from the passengers, or your management.
