Pros

Benefits are pretty good. Medical, Dental no cost. Free meals, and empowerment is encouraged. Comp rooms for employees at other Hiltons, but pretty hard to get a comp room at the more popular hotels. Transfers to other properties seem to be a bonus as Hilton seems to recognise the training they put into us may benefit other hotels.

Cons

Management is expected to work minimum of 12 hours per day. Usually its more because of all the recent layoffs. Key people were cut with not much thought behind how this will impact service. Many of us are not getting raises this year, ostensibly due to the economy, yet still we are working extraordinary hours.

Pros

Great staff and lowermanagement. Last general manager was unfriendly and not very helpful.

Cons

I was supposed to get long tenure status for lifetime friends of family with my veteran status. Worked at Hilton 9+ years. Supposed to get 1 year for my veteran status (according to the handbook at that time) which would make 10 years. HR supposedly turned in application in August 2024. I even followed up and was told they were working it. It's been almost 2 years and haven't heard anything yet. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Guess I won't be staying at Hilton Hotels.
