Pros

"Investment" - Work the long hours and you get the advantage of a "Big 4" name on your resume. Also get support for the CPA designation.

Cons

Bad work hours for which you may or may not get compensated for - thanks to mangement's insattiable need for budget recovery they'll eat your overtime and any hours for free. Terribly poor pay packages compared to those in banking/consulting.

Pros

Recognised brand name, nice office, good location.

Cons

Hours, attitudes, lack of team work. If you are not favoured by more senior people you have little chance of recognition. In order to be favoured you have to work all the hours god sends and have no life! Most people find that there other half works here too, so that they at least understand the pressures. The salary is low compared to other firms and the benefits are not good compared to the pressure and work you are given to do. Only the partners get appropriately remunerated it would seem. There is no overtime or bonus scheme either, which is not good.
