Pros

The CEO owns a Formula 1 car, and many people think that's cool. I don't, but enough do, and every company, All Hands, has a 15-minute segment on this stupid Formula 1 car. There is a cultlike obsession with this car; it even has its own Slack channel.

Cons

Unethical hiring and management. They will work you to the bone until your mental state breaks. Then they will punish you for it. Be prepared to work 50-60 hours/week minimum and still get no accolades or face time with your boss. You can forget about ever being noticed by top leadership entirely. You're held to unattainable standards at all times; it left me in a deep depression requiring full-time therapy. I have workplace PTSD, which I didn't know was a thing until I worked for CrowdStrike long enough. I've been in cybersecurity for 20 years and have tons of connections. I've told everyone I can to avoid this place like the plague.

Pros

Exciting amount of data and access to threat actors. Great mission, lots of challenging problems to solve. Some of the smartest people in the industry are there currently or were there.

Cons

Sr. Leadership is clueless, working to appease wallstreet, ignoring the stress and challenges impacting their staff. CrowdStrike no longer sets the pace and is playing follow the leader to other security companies. Poor middle managers treating staff terribly and Sr. Leaders not listening.

Pros

* They really care about building a true platform * The focus is not just on the features but how to build for the future * Remote is a true thing * Engineering Culture is 2nd to none! * Women and Men are expected/required to be treated equally (Women of tech please apply!)

Cons

As with any tech company stress and work life balance is what you make it but you are treated like an adult and thus need to know your own limitations, this is hard for us software engineers to do no shortage of hard problems to solve.
