Pros

In 1997 a friend offered me to join Cisco, and hence, at that time we started to speak about internet, so no info was really available to know more about companies as today. The offer was appealing and the job description very clear. 23 years later I still love to be in this company. changed 3 times organisation from IT, Sales to CX, took several jobs from Project Manager, to Regional IT Leader, Product Sales and Business Development. And hence, this is Cisco, you career depends entirely on your ambitious, you decide where you want to be. The company changed over the years and yes, we intend to say, where are the great days, although I strongly believe Cisco has a great future in front of it. But what I like most are the people, I made friends, and yes you can have friends at work, all over the globe. Another great thing of working for a global company. We are really One Cisco. And hence the perks are great, there is always better somewhere else, although the combination of general benefits together with social responsibility programs like 5 days a year to do volunteering, that makes you want to stay for a company

Cons

Ok, not everything is great, like in any other company. Like we intend to be a virtual organization, it's has it's risk for disconnect with your peers. Yes, there video and we meet once or twice a year, you have to work on building your networks, staying connected "from a human perspective". Yes, when you are in sales, it's about the numbers and every week, every month, every quarter your counter goes back to 0.
