      Pros

      Possible future career development opportunities and interesting assignments. Having the backing and resources of a Global company to aid in excelling in your Role.

      Cons

      Staff transfered from the Council into the Strategic Partnership feel they are treated as second class to the original BT staff. The BT "Transformation" Team all sit in a different office apart from a small exception.

      Pros

      After long service the perks are good. SOME employees are highly motivated and extremely professional. There are some outstanding people in this business and the potential to excel is huge in its market sector.

      Cons

      Process process process.......there is very little flexibility left. No one will take ownership and as a result things drift and opportunities are lost as a result. There seems to be little cohesive management, all busniess elements seem to work against each other rather than for the greater good.

      Pros

      BT people are in general good to work with and are now the only thing which are of any merit which remains. It is a great shame as BT was a great place to work only 5 or so years ago.

      Cons

      Huge bureacracy which is now getting stupid. Processes on processes, complexity on complexity. Senior management and HR are just worried about getting rid of people - 99% of the time that is ALL they focus on. BT has sailed very close to the wind in terms of moving people on under poor performance. The targets for this are artificial and it is very easy to find yourself in the GS (generally satisfactory) marking category - the wolves are then out to exit you at all costs. Yes, BT does have some wasters, but many of these people get away from the exit process - mainly because they run it !!!
