Pros

I worked for BT until 2015, serving almost thirty years of varied roles within the business. From my GPO days of strowger telephone exchanges to today’s fibre network estate I have aged among some inspiring colleagues proudly sharing the company’s numerous milestone successes

Cons

Sadly Ill health within the last few years of service resulted in BTs well-honed human resourced “in order to support you” performance management food chain being applied via “DDA Reasonable adjustments” smoke and mirrors. I was proud to say a worked for BT, nearly a year after taking a leaver’s package my hellish experience still wakes me in the night. Disability can be a catalyst to succeed, an opportunity for employer and employee to unlock positive potential. I gave you the very best years of my career. Shame on you BT.

Pros

My local department was excellent. Great management.Good vacation and work/life balance.

Cons

Outside of the GSC groups like BT Hungary and LATAM are lazy and have little to no technical ability. Global Services CEO is a joke, who just wants to cut and move more and more to overseas to less trained groups. Service Delivery is a laughingstock. Was told by senior management that BT "doesn't want to be a Lexus, but a Kia with leather seats, so stop trying so hard"

Pros

Above minimum wage is paid

Cons

No chance of a BT contract, ~90% of staff are on a contract with Manpower so no possible pay rises, managers are in the same position and are paid the same as employees starting at day 1, no shift routine and are expected to work at any time from 8am-8pm 7 days a week.
