Pros

Steady industry Benefits are somewhat competitive Can be average your entire career

Cons

Competitive silos which turn departments against each other. Mandated return to work policies that are out of touch and inflexible. Company performance reviews are not based on performance but on tenure. There is no incentive to take on more work or going above and beyond as this does not reflect in your pay, review, or opportunities for internal promotion - this cultivates the work culture of doing just enough to get by. Lazy and inefficient employees thrive as there are no consequences. This demoralizes and demotivates dedicated employees who wonder why they took on more work just to get the same performance pay outs. Processes and policies are restrictive and focus on spending control but the bottle neck processes are costing more than they are saving in terms of poorer quality and delays.

Pros

Work from home, even when your day is finished and your expected to work more.

Cons

In a cycle of never finishing any one of many projects at a time. Everything is urgent, that is why most things never get finished or time to fix items that were done incorrectly in the past. Employees give notice without another opportunity in place just to get peace of mind and recover from the burn out. Running joke among employees, "I wish they would give me a PIP" , with most employers a PIP is a chance to redeem yourself and work on issues that a manger see's needs working on to keep your job; however at Avangrid it is the silent way of saying your out the door before you even get the chance to correct anything of concern... The ones who don't work hard and create many errors are rewarded vs the ones who work hard and care about the work they do.
