Pros

Daily OT. Paid vacation. Food.

Cons

HR compliant was made regarding racial remarks made by coworker. HR said they would investigate. They concluded the best course of action was some reading material on how to be inclusive in a workplace though they claim to be "no tolerance" workplace. Bunch of fattys that eat all day in the office doing zip Tech 3s at the workplace couldn't perform basic PMs that tech 1s were expected to know and perform. Was told i could accrue as much OT i wanted, took that away, said there was a positive outlook, even though we had to use paid vacation over xmas on co wide shutdown. Claimed there wouldnt be Layoffs, even though they just cut people. Claim they have a downturn in customers but they have expanded the FAB, built additional FAB floor, as well as adding non necessary upgrades around campus all while retaining the bonuses for the superiors. 0 training. Got 1 wk classroom training and was expected to work around HF, gases. Upper ENGINEERS pawn off work, and go sit in the Cafe all day, and brag about it.

Pros

High-performance teams, forward-looking technology innovation, opportunities for travel to customer sites, large company with broad range of disciplines.

Cons

Toxic workplace culture: - Lack of meaningful career growth opportunities. Most people who leave do so because of this. - Select employees are promoted into people management roles with little to no vetting of their emotional intelligence, empathy, communication skills, etc. for the role. - A number of mid-level managers are noticeably insecure and arrogant (talk too much in meetings, act as if they know more than others, state their opinions like facts). - The occasional narcissistic executive comes along and abuses employees, some of whom leave because of it. - Intermittent mismanagement of projects and employees (assigning meaningless work, work not well-suited for employees’ skill sets, told to behave in ways that don’t align with one’s values/personality, given a task/project but then having the result thrown out completely as much as 8 months later). - Regular hypocrisy/gaslighting from management about norms (e.g. many examples including: told that managers who dismiss their reports’ career aspirations are still “good managers”, told to focus on technical work but then forced to go to irrelevant meetings, told that we shouldn’t work on projects we don’t enjoy but then seen as difficult for trying to leave a project we dislike, and so on). - Unhealthy expectations around work-life balance despite management’s claims of the opposite. - DEI not taken all that seriously. The global team consists of just 3 people. - Weak values around actively soliciting feedback from employees (in conversation about mismanagement, told by a manager that “no news is good news”).

DO NOT WORK HERE

Pros

None I can speak to.

Cons

Toxic managers, little pay for strenuous work, no perks, starting off as an hourly contractor with no benefits, no respect within ADI at large. This is a complete waste of a job unless you want to build your resume and leave after a year.
