Pros

Onbarding process with AWS is very structured than my previous employer. AWS actually has a tool called Embark that walks you through various training modules to help you learn the culture, processes and etc. It gives you a good start to start learning about the company and job role.

Cons

Embark could further improve in the area of focusing on your specific job role. There should be more modules teaching a new hire about required skills to learn, capacity training and infrastructure data center knowledge.

Pros

None really, you have to find the people that resonate with you. I found maybe 2-3 and they were great allies.

Cons

Combative, backstabbing, idea theft is rampant, lying is also rampant when people feel threatened by your work.
