Pros

PTO and 401K benefits are strong, remote work is increasingly possible for employees, people are friendly and accessible. You are also given early responsibility, whether or not you're ready or trained, this can be a pro or con depending on your personality.

Cons

Lack of consistent strategy, insane turnover, frequent layoffs and restructurings, lack of "soft perks," limited upward opportunity, you will be expected to work much more than is stated, poor training and wanting upper-middle management. Antiquated technology, loss of institutional knowledge and understaffing are also issues.

Pros

There's always work or trainings happening which keeps "most" people busy. Not much has changed culture wise here in the COE, trainings become useless after a months times. Many talented engineers have used AIG as a springboard to get better opportunities!

Cons

Many people have stated already on Glassdoor what the major issue in this office is, and that is senior management! They are horrible. They lack basic skills to lead. When asked hard questions, the just repeat previous statements made by directors or global counterparts (basically puppets) or say common phrases like "as I've already mentioned" or "change is coming". Truth is most believed them at first, but over time many have seen the management team and hr team as stumbling blocks and unreliable. Quality engineers ARE (and will continue) quitting weekly. Management tells them they will think about it! What a joke, what can management do? They are the problem and have already choke the life out of this office.
