You are brought in to the employment office for a brief interview. Basic questions about your goals, your work history, and a description of the job you applied for. Once you have completed the interview, you will receive a call within a few days and brought back in to the employment office for the second stage of the hiring process where they take you on a tour and go more in depth on what to expect while working at UPS.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
If you are young applicant they just want to know if you are a reliable and honest person. They always need night shift employees, because of the hours. If you want to get your foot in the door, say that you are willing to work any shift. Then after a couple of months, put a request to transfer to a different shift.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UPS (Palatine, IL) in Mar 2017
Interview
One two minute phone call, I had the job the moment I hit "submit" on my computer but did not know that yet. All they asked was to show up on a certain date for orientation.
