Received whatsapp message that I was to be scheduled for a video interview. Not sure if this was a normal process to use whatsapp as a medium.
Interviewer started with casual question to attempt to loosen the interview mode - talked about my wall colour. But during the interview, she seems completely disinterested - busy clicking somewhere, no eye contact (not looking at the camera), yawning. Sometimes I wonder if she is aware that we are on a video call and that I can see her actions? She gave the agenda of the interview (basically interview questions for me to answer) in one shot, the whole interview was me answering her questions, there was no part where she tells me more about the job scope of the position. As an interviewee I’m keen to know what role I’m signing up for. Eventually I asked her during Q&A and the answers given were vague.
The whole interview took around 40mins, but just 5mins into the interview I can sense the disinterest and impending rejection. This is the first time I felt relieved receiving the rejection email within the next 3 days. There is really a lot of areas for improvement on the recruitment process for this company.
