Initial communication with the company was through my University, where a recruiter visited during a career fair, and performed several preliminary interviews, organized through the career services of the college. About three weeks after the preliminary interviews, the recruiter invited me to travel to Houston and visit the main office for a full interview by local managers and HR people. This full interview was a full day scheduled with presentations on the company's history, current profile, job benefits, and the positions in question. Other applicants ranged from Mathematics undergrads to people graduating with Masters in Geophysics.
The actual one-on-one interview was with a team manager, and a project manager, it lasted about 45 minutes, and they largely coaxed me into engaging in the kind of dialogue that they wanted, otherwise I might not have been as successful. They asked a wide range of typical questions, went through my resume a little bit, and tried to encourage me to ask questions about the company.
