I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at OpenTable
Interview
Combination of in-person, phone and Google Hangout. All my interviewers were Director and Above so felt very important. Also held a happy hour to get to know the team better. It lasted for a number of weeks that could have been shorter. It seems like Director level positions are more important so they need consensus all the way up to CEO approval.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do I uniquely do well? How do you achieve consensus? Specific questions on the core responsibilities of the position and how I was able to accomplish goals in my previous position.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OpenTable (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Completed one intake phone screen with HR, then completed a technical phone screen with two developers which included live two coding exercises. I failed miserably on the first problem, but the interviews were polite, helpful, and wanted me to succeed!
I was then invite for an onsite where I felt very well taken care of. They gave me a gift, snacks, and paid for lunch. There were three interviews with senior developers and one with the principal. Everyone was very and nice, collegial. I learned a lot from the interview process.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OpenTable (Denver, CO) in Apr 2016
Interview
The interview process consisted of multiple rounds of interviews, essays, and an interview with Office Director. I would suggest preparing for more sales oriented questions. How would you handle this sales call? Tell me more about your sales skills. The interviews still felt very warm and personal, not like they were trying to attack your sales skills. Be sure to show confidence in your answers!
