The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Londres, Inglaterra) in Feb 2024
Interview
The process was a standard one. I was referred by a Meta employee. Had a recruiter call first. Then I had a phone screen which was a standad coding interview. Later in onsite stage, there was 2 coding, a system design and a behavioral interviews. Recruiter was quite helpful and responsive.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Design a analytical metrics system which stores millions of metrics gathered from many clients and shows them on a dashboard
terrible, longer than it needs to be, little feedback, many cancellations of interviews causing rescheduling the following week. recruiters are all over the world, never worked with the same one twice
The interview process consists of an initial phone screen followed by four virtual onsite rounds:
System Design Round: You'll be asked to design a system, demonstrating your ability to architect scalable and efficient solutions. Expect questions about designing data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale backend systems.
Coding Round: In this round, you'll solve coding challenges to showcase your problem-solving and programming skills, likely in languages such as Python, Java, or C++. These could involve algorithmic or data structure-based problems.
Behavioral Interview: This round assesses your soft skills, team collaboration, conflict resolution, and how you've handled setbacks or challenges in previous roles. Expect situational questions based on your past experiences and leadership.
Coding Round (Again): Another technical round focusing on coding problems to further test your technical depth and ability to tackle different types of challenges. This could include additional problem-solving or algorithmic exercises.
